AYURVEDA NEWS ON CURING CEREBRAL PALSY

TIMES OF INDIA: Bihar man claims cure for cerebral palsy
PATNA: A diminutive 40-year-old vaidya (a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine) from Forbesganj, a town on the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar, is pining to cure physicist Stephen Hawking, who, he thinks, is having the attack of cerebral palsy.
Given the opportunity, he said, he could have also ventured to cure the late Reliance chairman Dhirubhai Ambani.
"Hawking is an international mind. He needs to be healthy. I can cure him," is his passionate claim.
But what will he get if he becomes healthy? "I will get nothing; the international community will benefit from it, by his healthy presence," he says, adding: "And for me, my medicine will be known to lakhs of people who hope to get cured such patients in their families."
This vaidya is Pancham Kumar Das, who has formulated a herbal drug that "cures polio and cerebral palsy". Already, he has been approached by a former Prime Minister of India to cure a child relative.
The condition of the grandson of a secretary-rank official of the Nepal government has "improved overwhelmingly" under the treatment of Das. There are a host of others, including the relatives of IAS and IPS officers, who have been "cured" by him. As a matter of fact, he, as is the won't in the case of people like Das, is already a name in some circles by way of in-circle talks in Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bihar.
Besides, a noted neurosurgeon from the National Institute of Medical Sciences, Nizamabad, Dr R K Purohit, is in touch with him. On his request, Das has administered his herbal medicine to two children — one of five years and another 13. "In three months, one has recorded 15% cure and the other 80%, by their own admission," says Das.
Significantly, a scientist of Indian origin from San Francisco, Saraswati, has her relative under his treatment. She is coaxing him to get in touch with people in the USA where "there are more cases of cerebral palsy", as they seek information about him from her, Das maintains.
Das, after the death of his vaidya father Yogeshwar Lal Das in 1984, improved the medicine by rigorous research over the next two years in keeping with the guidelines defined by his father.
"The medicine was for the cure of polio and cerebral palsy," he says, adding: "My personal efforts appeared to lead to nowhere as there was no patenting." He met the then Congress MP from Kishanganj, M J Akbar, a senior journalist, who informed the then Union welfare minister M L Fotedar to get his medicine tried by the ICMR ."My medicine is still under trial by the ICMR," he says.

AYURVEDA HEALS DELAYED MILESTONES

Each baby's rate of development is unique, with some babies able to smile or walk sooner or later than others. However, there are certain skill sets, known as "developmental milestones", that all babies should be able to reach within specified age ranges. Delayed milestones occur when children have not reached these milestones by the expected time period. For example, if the normal range for learning to walk is between 9 and 15 months, and a 20-month-old child has still not begun walking, this would be considered a developmental delay.

Developmental milestones of Baby:

What are the risk factors for developmental delay?

Risk factors for developmental problems fall into two categories:

  • Genetic risks: Down syndrome
  • Environmental risks: Exposure to harmful agents either before or after birth; or poor maternal nutrition or infections like Measles, HIV passed from mother to baby ; or exposure to toxins like lead, drugs, etc.
Risk factors have a cumulative impact upon development. As the number of risk factors increases, a child is put at greater risk for delayed milestones.

What are the warning signs of delayed milestones?

There are several general "warning signs" of possible delay. These include:

  • Behavioral Warning Signs

SIMPLE TIPS TO PARENTS FOR KIDS HEALTH

Now a days kids are suffering from many genetically and environmental disorders like allergy, sinusitis, etc. All medicinal specialists starts to giving heavy antibiotics and steroids in very early stage. But parents who care for their kids avoid such medicines and try to know more about the natural cure.
How do you know if your kid is healthy or not? You can be your baby's doctor by observing them everyday. If your kid is eating well, sleeping well, exercise well and gain weight well then it is said that the kid is healthy. There are some basic natural principals which will help us to monitor our kid's health.
Make them eat all kind of natural food:
We should make for them a balanced diet; rich of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins. There should be variety of foods and different colored vegetables and fruits in kids menu. This will attract them to eat along with giving them a lot of nutrition. New tastes should be added by using different types of herbs & spices.
Give more liquids:
Make them drink as much as liquids as you can. Milk is a complete balanced diet for kids because it is a great source of calcium and minerals. According to Ayurveda, after mother's milk, cow's milk is said to be the best as it is saatvik. Go for fresh juices or vegetable soups or juices instead of serving them soft drinks, soda, cocktails or other such preserved drinks.
Listen to their body:
When you are eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Sometimes, kids eat too much because they don't notice when they need to stop eating. Eating too much can make them feel uncomfortable as it hampers their digestive system, and over a period of time, it leads to unhealthy weight gain making them dull and inactive.
Limit screen time:
Now-a-days due to the updated technologies, kids spend a lot of time in watching TV, DVD's, playing handheld computer games, and using the computer. This in turn results in more sitting-down activities and less physical activities like running, cycling, swimming, playing games like cricket, badminton, etc. Physical activities help kids to be in pink of health and increase their immunity too. So, you should encourage them in doing these kind of stuffs and should limit screen time to just 1 hour a day.
Keep your kid happy & active:
Parents should figure out that in which activities is your kid the best or what does he like to do more. Not every kid loves cricket. Sometimes they are god-gifted or passionate about very different activities like karate, or kickball, or dancing, or singing. Parents should notice that carefully and help them to do those favorite activities regularly thereby keeping them happy & active everyday. You can also make a fun-to-do list for them and keep them busy with those activities. This will help them to stop watching TV or playing computer games.
Keep them healthy with Kids Yoga:
Yoga helps kids for their physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual upliftment. The benefits of Kids Yoga are:
  • Increases creativity
  • Increases flexibility
  • Encourages will power and concentration
  • Sharpens the memory
  • Develops kindness
  • Corrects childhood obesity
  • Controls enormous stress due to increased level of competition
  • Helps in boosting up the self esteem of kids
